Shaping Tomorrow grants are designed to help a limited number of nonprofits modify operations and significantly increase their ability to serve our community over time. We will support projects that access new funding streams, increase public/private partnerships, adopt new best practices, assist with meaningful policy reform, leverage governmental or private foundation funding, or support coalitions and partnerships that maximize collective impact.
Grants can range from $50,000 to $500,000. Matching funds are encouraged, but not required. Multi-year commitments are a possibility and priority will be given to projects addressing Erie Vital Signs, or another widely recognized key indicator. Funds for 3rd party evaluation can be included in your request.
Consideration for a Shaping Tomorrow grants begins with a Letter of Inquiry, which can be submitted at any time. Shaping Tomorrow grants will be awarded, on a rolling basis, until funds are depleted. As grantmaking budgets are limited, potential applicants are encouraged to submit at their earliest convenience. Inquiry letters may be directed to Pat Herr, Vice President of Community Impact, at 814-454-0843.
