Fundraiser for the Trooper Jay Rougeau Scholarship Fund

February 14, 2024

At the Cathedral Prep/McDowell High Scholl basketball game this Friday, February 16th, the students will host two fundraisers benefiting the Trooper Jay Rougeau Scholarship Fund at The Erie Community Foundation. The student councils of both schools will assist in a 50/50 raffle and a raffle of a plasma television, and100% of all proceeds will be donated toward the Trooper Jay Rougeau Scholarship Fund.

Trooper Rougeau was a Corry High School alumni and basketball star. After graduating from Penn State University in 2015, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 2020. Selflessly, he was responding to a call during his day off. Sadly, he was killed in the line of duty on June 17, 2023.

If you wish to purchase 50/50 tickets, they are $5 each, 3 for $10, or 10 for $20. The tickets for the 55" television are $5 each. Drawings for both will be made between the 3rd and 4th quarter of the game. If you wish to support the scholarship, leave a send payment via Venmo @nittanylion1991 or via PayPayl at @MichaelVereb.
