Mission

The Erie Center for Arts and Technology (ECAT) is a community-based educational arts and career training center that inspires, educates, and empowers people with adult job training and creative youth programs.

Programs and Services

• Our tuition-free career training program offers a Clinical Medical Assistant certification for unemployed and under-employed residents of Erie County seeking education and career readiness opportunities in the healthcare field. This hands-on program allows students to earn their certification in a state-of-the-art facility located in one of Erie's most disinvested neighborhoods. Mentorship-based creative youth programs are offered at no cost to middle and high school students. Teens work alongside professional artists and learn the craft of thinking and working as an artist. While we want students to learn the disciplines of the arts, our core focus is on building positive relationships with students and building self-efficacy in a safe, inclusive space.
