Mission

DNE partners with the North East Borough, North East Township, North East Chamber of Commerce, North East Community Foundation and other community organizations to stimulate economic growth & vitality, improve the aesthetics of our historic downtown & its entranceways, preserve our agriculturally-driven heritage, capitalize on our local cultural offerings, promote & expand beautification initiatives and foster community partnerships that enhance the quality of life in North East.

Programs and Services

  • DNE, primarily through grants, offers facade grants, supports community art projects, supports North East In Bloom, North East Arts Council, and the North East Historical. DNE supports the Chamber of Commerce through special events grants and event sponsorships such as the Winefest, Cherry Festival, Gibson Days, Picnic in the Park, Open Market Saturdays and Philharmonic concerts.
