Mission

Children's Advocacy Center of Erie County, Inc. is dedicated to the delivery of a timely, effective, coordinated, community response to allegations of child abuse and to child abuse prevention. Our services will promote the safety and well-being of children while reducing trauma in a child-friendly environment.

Programs and Services

  • Child Abuse Response: on-site forensic interviewing for children referred by law enforcement or child protective services; referral to specialized medical, mental health and victim's assistance at qualified local providers; training for professionals in mandatory reporting and minimal facts interviewing.Child Abuse Prevention: ACT: Raising Safe Kids parenting program for those with children aged 10 and under; Abusive Head Trauma prevention ("Shaken baby"); Co-sleeping prevention initiative; general presentations on child safety.
