ADVANCING THE REGION’S LGBTQIA COMMUNITY THROUGH PHILANTHROPY

The LGBT Community Endowment was established to provide financial support to nonprofits that address the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQIA community.

The LGBT Community Endowment, a donor advised fund of The Erie Community Foundation, is, therefore, issuing this Request for Proposals.

We are currently seeking proposals for projects that address various needs in the LGBTQIA community, which include but are not limited to:

  • Safe schools
  • Youth homelessness
  • Substance abuse and other health challenges
  • Housing and workplace equality
  • Family support and recognition

The LGBT Community Endowment has committed up to $15,000 for this first mini-grant cycle. Proposals should not exceed $5,000.

Eligibility: any Erie County 501(c)3 nonprofit

Ineligibility: for-profit, sectarian religious activities, fund-raising solely, hospitality projects

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2020, by clicking here.     

Important Dates: Finalists will be selected by April 1, 2020, and grant recipients will be announced by June 1, 2020.
