Competitive grantmaking programs at The Erie Community Foundation are made possible by generous and farsighted donors who create unrestricted endowment funds.
Our community is fortunate to have a community foundation with, by our industry standards, a high percentage of unrestricted endowment. This gives us the ability to respond to changing needs in our community, forever.
Our Helping Today grants support current projects and activities of nonprofit partners. Typically, these grants do not exceed $30,000, and are limited to one year in duration.
Our Shaping Tomorrow grants support multi-year, evidence-based, collaborative projects with a high probability of transformational and sustainable community change. Areas of need are identified by data available in Erie Vital Signs.
