Helping today grantmaking…Education

Your Erie Community Foundation recently recognized 31 local education organizations, who received over $250,000 in grant money.

Like quality of life, human service and health grants, education grants are made from The Foundation’s unrestricted grant making. That is, when a donor establishes an endowment with no restriction other than that The Foundation’s board of trustees make informed and tough choices when awarding grants through The Foundation’s competitive grant process. Grants normally range from $5,000 to $15,000, with flexibility to make exceptions for larger projects and community approved capital campaigns.
