Mission

The mission of the Friends of the Erie County Public Library is to support and advocate for our library.  Our vision is a thriving and sustainable library accessible and welcoming to all.

Programs and Services

  • Erie County Library programs and services not funded by other sources:
  • Children's Programs and Services that promote reading including the Summer Reading Program for children and teens, author visits, performers, crafts and technology programs like Robotics for Teens and Master Builders (Legos).
  • Adult Services like Computer classes, Adult Summer Reading Program, Book Club in a Bag, Concert Series and author visits.
  • Branch programs and activities for children and adults
  • Outreach programs: Senior Days, book groups, Artist in Residence; art displays, receptions, National Library Week author series and volunteer recognition.
  • Staff Development including conferences, Staff Development Day and National Library Week staff recognition gifts.
  • Other: Marketing and the conceptualization of the Blasco 2nd Floor redesign.
