The Erie Community Foundation Community College Fund

This fund benefits the planned community college for Erie County. The Erie Community Foundation has provided an initial gift of one million dollars to support the initiative. Our gift, which is more than three times greater than any previous gift made in the 75-year history of the Foundation, demonstrates the significance of bringing a community college to Erie. Furthermore, trustees of the Erie Community Foundation will regularly review community college operations to ensure it meets the educational and economic development needs of Erie County residents.

Studies have detailed the need for a community college in our area. The new fund, which will support ongoing operating costs and capital expenses, depends on the generosity of the great people in our community. Private sector donations will further enhance the quality of the college, provide additional assistance to Erie County, and alleviate taxpayer concerns over financial viability. By donating to the Erie Community Foundation Community College Fund, you are contributing directly to our community’s needs by ensuring the development of an asset that will benefit both education and the economy in Erie.
